REGLAMENTO

El Festival de Cine de Animación Latinoamericano ANIMA LATINA, abre su convocatoria e invita a formar parte de la sexta edición del certamen, que tendrá lugar en Buenos Aires, Argentina, entre el 10 y el 16 de octubre de 2022.

1. CONDICIONES GENERALES

El Festival de Cine de Animación Latinoamericano ANIMA LATINA 2022, abre su convocatoria para presentar trabajos de animación realizados en todos los países de Latinoamérica en las once categorías oficiales en competencia comprendidas en el certamen.

1.1 Podrán participar personas en forma individual o colectiva, mayores de 18 años, mediante el envío de trabajos de animación que cumplan con las bases y los estándares técnicos que permitan su futura exhibición.

1.2 La participación en las competencias es gratuita.

1.3 La convocatoria está abierta para obras en todo tipo de técnicas de animación, que hayan sido terminadas a partir del 01 de enero del año 2020.

2. FECHA DE POSTULACION

2.1 Período de postulación entre el 01 de agosto y el 30 de septiembre de 2022.

3.1 Competencia Latinoamericana de Largometrajes Animados

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de largometrajes latinoamericanos.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Largometraje de Animación latinoamericano.

3.2 Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes latinoamericanos.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Cortometraje latinoamericano.

3.3 Competencia Argentina de Cortometrajes Animados

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes argentinos.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Argentino.

3.4 Competencia Latinoamericana de Videoclips Animados

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de videoclips latinoamericanos.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Videoclip Latinoamericano.

3.5 Competencia Argentina de Videoclips Animados

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de videoclips argentinos.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Videoclip Argentino.

​

3.6 Competencia Latinoamericana de Web Series Animadas

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de Web Series latinoamericanas.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Web Serie latinoamericana.

​

Solo se admitirá la participación de un capítulo por serie. El postulante deberá decidir qué episodio enviará a la competencia.

​

3.7 Competencia Latinoamericana de Series Animadas

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de Series latinoamericanas.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Serie latinoamericana.

Solo se admitirán series estrenadas en televisión y/o servicio de streaming. Sólo podrá participación un capítulo por serie, elegido por el postulante.

3.8 Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados de Escuela.

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes latinoamericanos realizados dentro del marco institucional de Escuelas, Universidades o Instituciones profesionales.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Cortometraje latinoamericano de Escuela.

3.9 Competencia Argentina de Cortometrajes Animados de Escuela.

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes argentinos realizados dentro del marco institucional de Escuelas, Universidades o Instituciones profesionales.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Argentino de Escuela.

3.10 Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados de Taller de formación (niños y adolescentes)

Selección Oficial orientada a la exhibición de cortometrajes latinoamericanos producidos dentro del marco de talleres de formación para niños y adolescentes.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Latinoamericano de Taller de Formación (niños y adolescentes)

3.11 Competencia Latinoamericana de Contenido Animado Documental

Esta categoría será trasversal a toda la Competencia Oficial (3.1 a 3.9).

Esta categoría está orientada a premiar la excelencia para un audiovisual animado latinoamericano documental.

Esta categoría entrega Premio al Mejor Contenido Animado Latinoamericano Documental.

 

4. INSCRIPCIÓN, ENVÍO Y SELECCIÓN DE OBRAS

4.1 El proceso cuenta con dos canales oficiales de inscripción de las obras para participar en la preselección.

a) Formulario de inscripción Online en sitio oficial del festival (Gratuita) www.animalatina.com.ar 

b) Plataforma de postulación FilmFreeway (Gratuita). www.filmfreeway.com/animalatinafestival

4.2 Modalidad de envío de material para preselección

Para el envío de la Obra mediante el formulario de inscripción online en el sitio oficial del Festival, se realizará mediante link de descarga* de Vimeo (con password), Youtube, Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, FTP’s privados o similares.

El archivo podrá ser extensión .mov o .mp4, resolución 1920 x 1080, codificación H264, sin marca de agua.

Una vez que la postulación haya sido recibida correctamente, la organización del festival enviará un correo electrónico confirmando la recepción.

*De haber enviado la Obra por medio de un link caducable, el Postulante tiene la obligación de proveer un nuevo enlace a la organización del Festival en el caso que no se hubiera descargado la Obra. De lo contrario, la inscripción no será considerada.

4.3 Las obras recibidas para postular a las competencias serán sometidas a un proceso de Preselección realizado por el Comité Curatorial del Festival.

LA DECISIÓN DEL COMITÉ CURATORIAL ES INAPELABLE.

​

4.4 La inscripción de una obra en la presente convocatoria supone la total aceptación de estas bases. Al enviar su formulario de postulación, el firmante declara ser titular de todos los derechos de autor sobre la Obra y/o tener poder para autorizar la comunicación pública de la obra durante el período del festival del 10 al 16 de octubre  de 2022 en territorio argentino.

​

El firmante de la postulación declara además, que en el caso que su proyecto comprometa, afecte o incluya la utilización total o parcial de obras protegidas por la legislación nacional o internacional sobre Propiedad Intelectual, y cuyos titulares de derecho de autor sean personas distintas de la del postulante del proyecto, cuenta con la autorización expresa de utilización de la obra dada por el titular del derecho de autor, cumpliendo con las formalidades indicadas en las presentes bases. Entiéndase por autorización, como el permiso otorgado por el titular del derecho de autor en cualquier forma contractual, para utilizar la obra de algunos de los modos y por algunos de los medios que la legislación sobre propiedad intelectual establece.

5. JURADOS

5.1 El jurado estará conformado por profesionales del ámbito de la animación, tales como realizadores, productores, gestores culturales, periodistas y miembros de entidades nacionales e internacionales asociadas al evento.

5.2 Estarán inhabilitados de formar parte del jurado personas directamente relacionadas con las obras en competencia en su categoría.

​

5.3 La decisión del jurado es inapelable.

​

6. SELECCIÓN OFICIAL

6.1 La programación del Festival incluirá en su selección oficial, secciones competitivas y no competitivas. Las obras programadas serán incluidas en la sección que el Comité Curatorial del Festival considere apropiada.

​

6.2 La Selección Oficial será publicada la primera semana de octubre de 2022 en el sitio web www.animalatina.com.ar y se notificará mediante correo electrónico.

​

6.3 Al postular las obras seleccionadas, automáticamente autorizan el uso de trailers o extractos de la obra (suministrados por el representante de los trabajos seleccionados), para efectuar la promoción de la Competencia Oficial del Festival.

​

6.4 Los trabajos que formen parte de la Selección Oficial recibirán un Certificado Digital Oficial y laureles de Selección Oficial ANIMA LATINA.

​

6.5 Los trabajos seleccionados serán notificados por correo electrónico, instancia en la que se entregarán las instrucciones respecto a los formatos, plazos, lugar y forma de envío de las obras seleccionadas para su exhibición a público durante los días del festival.

​

6.6 Las personas vinculadas a las películas seleccionadas se comprometen a no difundir su participación hasta que la programación del Festival sea anunciada por la Organización del mismo en conferencia de prensa.

​

6.7 La entrega del material final se deberá hacer dentro de los plazos estipulados, de lo contrario el trabajo quedará descalificado.

​

6.8 La versión final, de encontrarse en idioma distinto al español, deberá ser enviada junto a sus respectivos subtítulos en español (o en su defecto inglés). Los subtítulos deben ser entregados en forma separada del video: en archivo de texto o formato de subtítulo (Ej: *.srt)

​

6.9 Para los realizadores seleccionados el Festival no cubrirá costos de traslado y alojamiento para asistir al evento, no obstante, el Festival podrá facilitar cartas de apoyo para gestionar los recursos necesarios ante las instituciones que favorezcan la asistencia de los seleccionados. La organización del Festival les otorgará credenciales de acceso liberado a todas las actividades que se realizan en el marco del encuentro.

6.10 El festival no abonará por el derecho de exhibición (screening fee) de las obras seleccionadas. A su vez, el Festival garantiza que todas las funciones tengan entrada libre y gratuita para el público.

​

6.11 El Festival se reserva el derecho de exhibir las obras seleccionadas en cuantas funciones públicas estime conveniente incluyendo una adicional para la prensa, durante la celebración del certamen.

​

7. AUTORIZACIÓN A PARTICIPAR EN MUESTRA ITINERANTE

7.1 El Festival de Cine de Animación Latinoamericano ANIMA LATINA realiza actividades gratuitas de exhibición de animación durante el año. 

Los participantes que inscriban sus obras también aceptan, salvo expresa negativa, su exhibición en muestras itinerantes del Festival, ciclos de cine, etc. Estas actividades siempre serán de carácter gratuito y responden sólo a fines de difusión y promoción del cine latinoamericano. Oportunamente se notificará formalmente sobre las actividades antes citadas.

IMPORTANTE: La participación en el Festival, implica la aceptación total del reglamento. El Festival resolverá según su juicio y en carácter inapelable, cualquier eventualidad no especificada en este reglamento.

RULES

The Latin American Animated Film Festival ANIMA LATINA, has open its call for entries and invites you to be part of the sixth edition of the event, that will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina from october 10 to 16, 2022.

​

1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Latin American Animated Film Festival ANIMA LATINA 2022, begins its call for entries for animated works produced in all the countries of Latin America to attend and compete in eleven oficial categories for its awards.

​

1.1      Participants can apply either in an individual basis or as a team, participants must be at least 18 years old. Submitted works must be within the guidelines and technical requirements appropriate for their exhibition.

​

1.2      Participation is free of charge.

​

1.3      The call for entries is open for works in any animation technique, released after January 1st, 2020.

​

2.DEADLINE FOR APPLYING

2.1 Application period is from August 1st to September 30th, 2022.

Only one chapter per series will be allowed. The applicant must decide which episode he will send to the competition.

Only series premiered on television and / or streaming service will be accepted. Only one chapter per series, chosen by the applicant, may participate.

3.8 Latin American Animated School Short Film Competition

Competition aimed at exhibiting short films produced under the guidance of educational institutions such as schools, colleges, universities or vocational schools, released either while enrolled or as a final senior project.

This category awards the Best Latin American Animated School Short Film.

3.9 Argentinian Animated School Short Film Competition

Competition aimed at exhibiting short films produced under the guidance of educational institutions such as schools, colleges, universities or vocational schools, released either while enrolled or as a final senior project.

This category awards the Best Argentinian Animated School Short Film.

​

3.10 Latin American Short Film from schools and workshops for children and teenager

Competition aimed at exhibiting Latin American Animated Short Film made within the institutional framwork of Schools or workshops for children and teenager.

This category awards the Best Latin American Short Film from schools and workshops for children and teenager.

​

3.11 Latin American Animated Documental Competition

This category will be transversal to all the Official Competition (3.1 to 3.9).

This category is aimed at rewarding excellence for an animated Latin American Documental.

This category awards the Best Latin American Animated Documental.

​

4. ENTRIES, SUBMISSION AND SELECTION OF WORKS

4.1 The submission process has two official channels to register the films to participate in the pre-selection.

a) Online registration form on the official website of the festival (Free) www.animalatina.com.ar

b) FilmFreeway application platform (Free). www.filmfreeway.com/animalatinafestival

4.2 Shipping method for pre selection material

For the submission of the films through the online entry form on the official website of the Festival, will be made via download link * Vimeo (with password), YouTube, Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, private FTP or similar.

The file may be .mov or .mp4 extension, resolution 1920 x 1080, H264 encoding, without watermark.

Once the application has been received correctly, the festival organization will send an email confirming the reception.

​

* If the Work has been sent through an out-of-date link, the Applicant has the obligation to provide a new link to the Festival organization in case the film has not been downloaded. Otherwise, registration will not be considered.

​

4.3 Entries submitted will be evaluated by the Festival Committee who will judge and determine which entries will participate in each category.

​

THE COMMITTEE’S DECISION IS FINAL AND NOT SUBJECTED TO APPEAL.

4.4 By entering the contest and submitting works, participants agree to abide by the Rules of the Festival. Furthermore, by applying through the Online Form, participants confirm that they have the rights to the work being submitted and they agree the Festival has permission to exhibit their Work at the Festival, from october 18 to 24, 2021 in argentine territory.

​

The participant also confirms that he or she has received full explicit authorization from the owner(s) of any copyrighted elements not in their property appearing either fully or in part on their Works that fall under Intellectual Property Protection, either under National or International Law. Additionally, the participant agrees that any situation arising from the use of Intellectual Property of a third party fully conforms to the terms and conditions on this document. “Authorization of use of a copyrighted work” shall be understood as permission given by the author or copyright holder of said copyrighted work in any contractual form for the use of the copyrighted work according to the terms established by Intellectual Property Law.

5. JURY

5.1 The Jury shall be composed of professionals of multiple areas related to the contest, including animators, producers, cultural managers, guest directors and members of international entities related to the Festival.

​

5.2 Individuals directly related to any of the participating entries shall be barred from participating as part of the Jury in its own competition.

​

5.3 The Jury´s decisión is final and not subjected to appeal.

​

6. OFFICIALLY SELECTED ENTRIES

6.1 The Festival's programming will include competitive and non-competitive sections in its official selection. The selected films will be included in the section that the Festival Curatorial Committee considers appropriate.

​

6.2 The Official selected entries will be published the first week of october, 2022 at the event’s official website www.animalatina.com.ar Participants agrees that, by applying to the pre-selection stage, the Festival has permission to use stills and trailers (provided by the participant) from their Works to promote the officially selected entries through appropriate media.

​

6.3 The selected films to participate will receive an Official Digital Certificate and the Laurel Leaf of ANIMA LATINA Official Selection.

​

6.4 Authors of officially selected entries will be contacted through email with instructions related to the format, date and method of submittal of their Works to be exhibited.

​

6.5 Films delivered after the deadline ends will be automatically disqualified from participating.

​

6.6 The final version of the film, if is not in Spanish, has to be send along with the subtitles in Spanish (or English in its defect). The subtitles shall be delivered separate from the video: in a text file or subtitle format (e.g.: *.srt )

​

6.7 For the participants selected, the Festival does not cover transportation and accommodation costs to attend the event. Nevertheless, the Festival can provide support letters of Proof of Selection, addressed to an institution specified by the participant. The organization will also grant all access tickets to all the events of the Festival.

​

6.8 The festival will not pay for the right of exhibition (screening fee) of the selected films. In turn, the Festival guarantees that all functions have free admission for the public.

​

6.9 The Festival reserves the right to exhibit the selected works in as many public projections as it deems appropriate, including an additional one for the press, during the celebration of the contest

​

7. CONSENT OF ITINERATION ANIMA LATINA

The Animated Latin American Animation Film Festival ANIMA LATINA organizes free animation exhibition activities during the year.

7.1 Participants who register their films also accept, except expressly negative, their exhibition in traveling exhibitions of the Festival, etc. These activities will always be free and respond only to the promotion of Latin American cinema. In due course, the aforementioned activities will be formally notified.

IMPORTANT: The participation in ANIMA LATINA, implies the total acceptance of the rules. The Festival will resolve according to its judgment and in an unappealable any eventuality not specified in the rules.
